Little Blossoms, Big Rose Bush

This rambling rose really rambles.  It annoys my husband by sending out ten-foot long runners into his tomatoes.

It is another passalong rose that came from my mother's house.

It has hundreds of small pink flowers in large clusters.  It is very hardy, and if it is cut to the ground this year, it will be back full-force next spring.

  1. Hello Ms. Jean,

We share the pass along interests in plants.
It seems this type of rose is one I have and also one that has no name?
The voracity of this plant is as you've said.
It is a joy to espalier, lol.
It can be pesky unless watched like a child....haha. I am considering planting along the chain link fenced area so it can be mowed and edged along with the grass, and let the parts that cling on to the fence enjoy their time there.
I do want to know it's specie though.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards,

  2. Do you happen to know the type and name of this rose bush? We had a flower bed full of red ones just like yours and through the years they have slowly been neglected. I would like to replant them, but when I get to the store no one knows what I am talking about nor do I see anything of the such to choose from…..thanks for your help. I love them ….
